Love is in the air!

While gearing up for Valentine's Day at Wicked Wicker, I read an interesting article on what people were saying they planned to spend on the day Cupid gets free range. Most of the stats that I read had me nodding my head, saying "sounds about right" ($116.21 on their significant other), but others I just found interesting. Examples? The average person is planning to spend over $5 on the family pet, only a few cents less on classmates, and less than $3.50 on coworkers. One that I was happy to read was 18.1% of people buying gifts are planning to shop online.  Well its back to working on those Valentine's Day orders for me!

Who Else is Putting an End to the "Slow Months"?



We all know the drill when New Years finally comes around--we make those resolutions, cut back on spending, and start saving. This time of year is considered to be the "slow months" of spending especially when compared to the Holiday season.  Lucky me, I've had the best Holiday season at Wicked Wicker yet, and I'm looking forward to the coming year like a kid looking in the window of a candy-store. And I know that I'm not the only business owner who's looking forward to a good year! All around, this year is supposed to have the strongest business growth that we have seen in the last four years.  Anyways, for me at least the holiday season isn't quite over. Valentine's Day is less than two weeks away and the new year has started off better than ever!
